George C. Wilson Leadership/Service Award

The George C. Wilson Leadership/Service Award is named for the 1940-1946 AMEA President and is presented to a member who has rendered an exceptional amount of service and has demonstrated strong leadership in the Association.

• Leadership and service contributions to the Arizona Music Educators Association may include: hosting meetings, festivals, presenting workshops, clinics, adjudicating or guest conducting ensemble groups, writing articles for various music journals and/or participation in curriculum work, mentoring students / new teachers, holding AMEA or constituent board positions.
• Has made outstanding and ongoing contributions to the improvement of music in Arizona through participation and leadership in professional organizations
